The illusion of "sliding on ice" comes from:
* The torso being level (you don't bob up/down with each step)
* Feet barely hover above the ground
Traveling in a "Glidey" manner can be done by stepping in a particular way.
### Controlled heel lowering
This requires the calf strength and ankle stability to smoothly straighten your leg:

Start with the bent position. Slowly straighten your leg, keeping your hip level. Fully extend so your heel strikes the ground.
Now travel with each step. Land with your leg in the bent position. Slowly straighten as you prepare to take the next step.
### Hip rotation
Now rotate your hip before landing your foot, so it lands in various rotations (pigeon toe, straight ahead, duck feet):

### Control the hovering foot
Now, control the foot that is stepping, so it barely leaves the ground.
Try to steer it like a vehicle (no strafing). Experiment with detours and curved paths:
